Copy Polish Checklist
Use this anytime you write (or rewrite) a name, description, landing page, or email. It’ll help you spot weak spots, tighten your message, and boost your clarity — fast.
✅ Start with the Hook
- Does your title or headline make someone stop scrolling?
- Is it clear what this product does (or why it matters)?
- Does it speak to a specific outcome or emotion?
✅ Focus on Them, Not You
- Are you using “you” more than “I” or “we”?
- Does the copy reflect the reader’s goals, problems, or language?
- Are you showing what they get — not what you made?
✅ Cut the Fluff
- Can you delete 10–20% of the words without losing meaning?
- Are there vague phrases (“amazing value,” “top quality”) you can replace with something specific?
- Are sentences short, punchy, and readable?
✅ Show Outcomes, Not Just Features
- Did you explain what happens after someone uses your product?
- Are the benefits clear, emotional, and believable?
- Can you rewrite any “this includes…” sentence into a “this helps you…” version?
✅ Format for Real People
- Is it easy to scan (bullets, spacing, bolding)?
- Does it look good on mobile?
- Are the best parts of your message visually highlighted?
✅ End with Confidence
- Is your CTA clear, simple, and benefit-driven?
- Would you click your own button?
- Does the final message feel like a “yes” — not a hard sell?
Tip: Don’t over-edit. A slightly messy but emotionally clear message will always beat a polished wall of text. Clarity wins. Every time.
You can print this. Bookmark it. Copy it into Notion.
Use it anytime you’re about to launch a product, post a sales page, or share a new offer with your audience. Because the better your copy — the easier it is for people to say yes.
And you’ve already got what it takes to write something worth saying yes to.
